Update...

Happy Holidays!!! Can't believe Christmas is so close!!! Presents are anxiously awaiting under the tree for a certain 4 and 30 year old! HA! I love this time of year...giving gifts is one of my favorite things to do...the way I see it, might as well spend it on your loved ones because you may not be here to do so next christmas...Enjoy it while you can...we can't take it with us :-) I heard something this season on the radio and I have really been paying attention to it: A man was saying that you hardly see Merry Christmas on cards anymore--that they all say Happy Holidays...well I am glad to say out of all the cards we have gotten so far 75% of them have a religious saying or verse on them...thats good to see. He was saying how so many people forget the reason for this season....and I hadn't even thought about that because our christmas cards actually did say Happy Holidays on them. We ran out so I ordered more and was sure to put Merry Christmas on them...interesting how different people percieve things even a simple christmas greeting!

As far as our family life--things couldn't be better! Dru is growing ever so fast with a imagination that is so unbelievable! I am truely blessed to have such a wonderful son! FINALLY after 4 years I got him to hop right up on Santa's lap this year and tell him what he wanted! All the pictures of years before he is SCREAMING to say the least! The picture turned out so good I was happy!! Jeffrey is really been a treat to be around, his personality just keeps me going and he always puts a smile on my face....he finally got a woodstove in his garage thanks to Scott Knepp for helpin :-) and Lord willing he will be able to get his hardship license by the end of the year(license to drive back and forth to work) we hired a lawyer so now its out of our hands...He really has came a long way in the 7 years I have been with him, and its been a rollercoaster at times but he is my one and only....and he makes me stronger too...when you've been through hard times it makes you appreciate things so much more! you can't get upset over little petty things....life goes on, and like jeffrey would say "quit cryin over spilled milk" lol...

Baby--well I am 4 wks away from being half way WOW...now that has flown! I feel great, can't even tell Im pregnant besides my growin belly...I've gained 4-5 lbs so far and am just startin to get snug in my jeans :-) i guess its bout that time when most of us dread...ugh the maternity wardrobe! yuck! I have a appt on Fri I will be 4 months....Jeffrey and Dru constantly talk about baby....its so sweet...Jeffrey is such a good daddy, couldn't pick a better one for my children! I can't wait to meet our little one...the countdown is still on 24 weeks....

my hobby

Diaper Wreaths--I used to do this 2 years ago while I was in nursing school and sold quite a few of them at a consignment shop, and made them for friends for baby shower gifts....well now that i have some spare time I started making them again....its something i really love to do...they are great for gifts and you can make them within your own price range they start out usually around $20 on up.....or you can make them really simple for $15...I don't make much profit on them but I just love making them. These are some of the ones I've made in the past....Let me know if your interested in one, I can make one in the color--theme you like.

Blueberry!

At 7 weeks pregnant, your baby's length is approximately a quarter of an inch — the size of a blueberry. Sounds pretty tiny still? Consider this for a little perspective: Your baby is 10,000 times bigger now than it was at conception a month ago.

The biggest fetal growth this week is your baby's head (the better to store all those smarts in), with new brain cells being generated at the rate of 100 cells per minute. How's that for a budding genius?

And talking about buds, your baby is going out on a limb this week as his or her arm and leg buds begin to sprout and grow longer (and stronger), dividing into hand, arm, and shoulder segments — and leg, knee, and foot segments (though the limb buds look more like paddles than hands or feet at this early stage).

Also forming this week are your baby's mouth and tongue. And although your embryo is just one month old, it's already gone through three sets of kidneys. The ones in place now are the permanent set and are poised to begin their important work of waste management. In about a week, your baby will start producing urine. Lucky for you, there's no need for diapers (yet). As your baby matures inside you, much of that urine will be excreted into the amniotic fluid, swallowed again by your baby, and then excreted again in a continuous cycle.

Intelligender

Some of you may have heard of this, but even working in OB I just found out about it 2 wks ago...its a urine test you can take as early as 6 weeks to determine the gender. HOW COOL! I've done some EXTENSIVE research on it...its 82% accuracy in the real world with 92% in labratory results. It is kind of like the drano test--the old wives tale gender test. You put your urine in a cup with different chemicals and if your urine turns green its a boy, if its orange/yellow its a girl! It detects hormones in your urine. Well needless to say, I bought one from CVS (also available at Walgreens) They are around $40. I thought it would be something neat to do, and to see if it really does work. Of course Im not going to go paint my nursery pink or blue based on the intelligender results...but it will be neat to see if the ultrasound confirms the results...I will be 6 weeks this saturday, so I plan to take it then...stay posted I will let ya know....it will be kinda like an experiment :-) i always have loved science! lol....my first doctors appt is friday also (jeffrey's bday!!) its just a nurse visit...no biggie. I have felt great! just have had 2 dizziness spells...no nausea or vomitting...so thats great, I didn't have anything except migranes with dru so hopefully i will luck out again!! stay posted for the intelligender results :-) oh and the chinese calendar said boy, lol...another old wives tale...As you can see im very impatient waiting until 18-20 wks is a killer for me! lol...
